How much money will you need in New Zealand? $215 USD is the average daily price for traveling as a couple in New Zealand. This daily budget was based off living in a camper van for 18 days and 4 days in a hostel with our own room. The average price of food for one day is $65 USD. The average price of accommodation for a couple is $53 USD. Additional pricing is in the table below. These travel prices are based off a comfortable budget. This includes private room or camper van, air conditioning, at least 2 meals at a restaurant per day, internet, and misc.

Day 3: Queenstown (3 hours, 150 miles)

- Skyline Gondola: Take a ride in the Gondola for an amazing view of Queenstown and some fun/extreme activities:

- Great Views/ Food
- Star Gazing Tour
- Hikes
- Take a walk around the city of Queenstown: Enjoy the shopping, spas, casinos, and night life.
Day 4: Drive to Te Anau area (2 hours, 100miles)

- Day Hikes:
- Intermediate: Mount Alfred (Glenorchy) 4-6 hour return hike.
- Intermediate: Ben Lomond (Queenstown) 5-7 hour return hike
- Tours:
- Jet boat tour- Hop on a speed boat that takes you up tight river passages and shows you the sights high speed style.
- Wildlife tours- These are guided tours of the area to help you find a variety of wildlife.
- Funyaks- These are multiple person kayaks that are blown up and you can bump into the tight places you will be adventuring in.
- Off road adventures- Have a company take you on an off road tour in a land rover up the dirt trails around Queenstown area.
