There is a lot of fun to be had in Belize, from exploring the rainforest above the tree tops on a zipline, to swimming with the marine life in the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world. Whether exploring the mainland or one of the islands you can always find a great local bar and restaurants to enjoy a drink or some food with some friends.
When heading out to San Pedro, Belize (on Ambergris Caye Island) you can’t miss the two best snorkeling places in Belize, Hol Chan and Mexico Rocks Marine Reserves. Also Belize once had a large concentration of the Mayan people the land is rich in history that occurred why before our time. You cannot miss the numerous great Mayan Pyramids or the ceremonial Mayan underworld at the ATM Cave. Here are some of the top excursions and sites to see in Belize:
One of our favorite activities at night was to walk down the beach line at night and see what beach bar was hopping. With beers costing around $2USD and local rum drinks at $2USD you can have a fun cheap night out. At every local shop you can buy a local handle of rum for around $12-$15 USD. The must see bars have to be Crazy Canuks, Palapa Bar and Grill, Tackle box, Wayo’s bar, and Dive bar.
